Community Dog Park Petition

Good Day Everyone;~)

We are over a ¼ of the way to meeting our goal. PLEASE ask your friends, neighbors, significant others, relatives, anyone you can think of to help if they feel an appropriate Dog Park would benefit our community.

I can send you a PDF of the petition and a sign sheet. If you are able to help get some signatures that way we would greatly appreciate it. For example, you could take the sheet to your place of work. If you aren’t able to deliver the signed sheet(s) to the CHS facility you are welcome to call me and I will pick it up at your convenience. My cell number is: 435.890.9312.

There are some questions floating around about the potential Dog Park- The property we would like to acquire for an appropriate Dog Park is located behind the CHS facility. The City of Logan currently owns the 10 acre parcel. Although we are not outright asking for the property, being a nonprofit organization we would really appreciate obtaining it as a gift. If that isn’t an option we would like the opportunity to purchase it with monies we would most likely raise through donations.
A secondary use for the Dog Park is to fill the regions animal component of the Emergency Operations Preparedness Plan. Currently there isn’t a plan in place within the city or county. If we are able to move forward we would like to approach FEMA for grant money assistance.
The current dog park located next to the Willow Park Zoo is temporary. Bart Esplin in charge of Facilities Maintenance for the Cache County Fairgrounds has not confirmed a time line for regaining the property but anticipates a year to two.
