Date: October 23rd 2008

Weather.com lists this coming Sunday as a 10 out of 10 on its fitness comfort and sight seeing index.  We'll have an above average high of 67, max humidity of 53% and no chance of rain. Doesn't that make you want to go outside?

NewComers are hiking Wind Cave Sunday Morning.  It's a very popular local hike with a trailhead just a short drive up Logan Canyon.  It's listed as moderately difficult and is under 4 mi round trip. The trail has enough elevation gain to make you feel like you've accomplished something, but it's short enough to be manageable for those not accustom to altitude and steep mountains. The cave is a nice reward for your effort.

We'll meet at the Logan Ranger Station at 9:00 am and carpool to the trailhead. The usual drill is to wait an extra 10 minutes for anyone who has RSVPed. Bring water and snacks/lunch.  Take warm layers as well. You'll most likely be home before noon.

RSVP to hikers@new2logan.com or whitneybrook@gmail.com.

Directions: The Logan Ranger Station is at 1500 East Highway 89. Logan, UT. Take 400 N east toward Logan Canyon and look for the station on the right before the Smokey the Bear sign.
