Whitney!
I'm not interested in running in Salt Lake City, but would love to help with fundraisers...  Let me know about ways I can plug in and cheer for those training.
Peace, Corinne

Subject: [runners] Train for Marathon or Half Marathon

(Mailing list information, including unsubscription instructions, is located at the end of this message.)

Train to run a marathon or half marathon while raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  We plan on running the Salt Lake Marathon and Half Marathon, which will be held on April 18, 2008.  We hope this local race will make it easier for more people to participate.

Team in Training is hosting two informational sessions next week. (See attached flyer)

• Wednesday Nov. 5th 5:30 PM at Utah State University- The Lily White Building Conference Room # 109 700 North, across street from the Education Building)
• Thursday November 6th 6:00 PM at The Bullen Center- 43 Main Street- above the Eccles Theatre

If you can't make it to either of these meetings, but are still interested in participating, feel free to send me an email. whitneybrook@gmail.com

As the largest endurance sports training program in the world, we will provide you with the experience of a lifetime, including:
  • Coaching and training
  • Travel to a major marathon, half marathon, century or triathlon in exciting locations
  • The opportunity to make your athletic goals a reality (an unbeatable offer with great personal rewards)
  • A connection with an honored patient so you know just who and what you're doing it all for
In exchange for training and support, you help raise money towards cures for blood cancers like leukemia -- the No. 1 disease killer of children -- lymphoma and myeloma.

How serious is blood cancer? Every five minutes, someone in the United States learns that he or she has leukemia, Hodgkin or non-Hodgkin lymphoma or myeloma. Every ten minutes, someone dies of a blood cancer.

Our athletes have walked away with new friends, amazing accomplishments and the sense that they did something even more important than getting in good shape.
