Hi all!<br><br>The book for January will be <font size="2"><span id="btAsinTitle" style="">The Professor and the Madman: A Tale of Murder, Insanity, and the Making of the Oxford English Dictionary by Simon Winchester.  <br> <br>Here is the description from Amazon: </span></font><b>The Professor and the Madman</b>, masterfully researched and eloquently written, is an extraordinary tale of madness, genius, and the incredible obsessions of two remarkable men that led to the making of the Oxford English Dictionary -- and literary history. The compilation of the OED began in 1857, it was one of the most ambitious projects ever undertaken. As definitions were collected, the overseeing committee, led by Professor James Murray, discovered that one man, Dr. W. C. Minor, had submitted more than ten thousand. October Meeting

Hello Book club!<BR><BR>Sorry I missed this past months meeting, I was working.  But this month the very exciting read is "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" by John Berendt.  This book is based on a true story that took place in Savannah, Georgia in the 1980's.  The Murder mystery includes a colorful cast of characters (some of which actually appeared in the movie in 1997) and was on the NY times best seller list for 216 weeks.  A true must read.  (the movie was awful , if you have seen the movie, then you only know 1/16th of the story)<BR><BR>We will meet October 29th at 6:30 to discuss at El Toro Viejo (1079 N.
